Welcome to the Essex Book Festival!
The 2009 Essex Book Festival is now over. We hope you managed to get to all the events you wished to attend!
Just under 96% of people attending events have rated their enjoyment as Excellent or Good, which is brilliant news! And just under 88% of people said they were very likely to read the featured writers, so clearly the Festival is providing people with new reading ideas as well as a good time.
Many of you commented on the quality of the events with their excellent, inspiring and informative speakers; and many also said they loved the informal nature of the events - so all in all, an excellent Festival!
If you didn't manage to get there this time, then this short film will give you an idea of the range of the Festival, with its famous authors, new authors, and many authors in between. The festival also takes place at venues right across Essex which makes it really accessible!
