For younger audiences we’re working with the Just Imagine Story Centre to present events from monster madness to animal adventures.
Best selling teen authors, Anne Cassidy and Karen McCombie visit schools to talk about their works.

Most bookings can be made through the Mercury Theatre Box Office on 01206 573948 from Mon to Sat 10am-8pm. There is a £1 charge for postage unless tickets are collected from the Mercury.
For children’s events, call Just Imagine on 01245 267748, Mon to Fri 9.30am–5pm. Just Imagine charges 50p per debit card booking transaction.
Concessions - Concessionary rates are available to under 18s, full-time students, registered unemployed and people in receipt of state benefits.
Access
Essex Book Festival is a partnership programme with multiple venues. We hope to make it as accessible as possible in order that everyone can enjoy it. If you have a query about access or a general enquiry email hello@essexbookfestival.org.uk or call 01245 347456.
Please advise the Box Office if you have any access requirements when making a booking. Visitors with a disability are offered a free ticket for a companion. If you require a BSL interpreter, please advise the Box Office and we will do our best to accommodate this.
Refunds
The Festival cannot refund money or exchange tickets except if an event is cancelled, in which case return your tickets to the Box Office within 30 days for a full refund.
